Nevada
June 2006
We were in Nevada for a short while during our trip to California. We didn’t have time to drive all the way down to Vegas but went to Reno instead. I’m not much of a gambler but I did manage to hit a few slot machines. I don’t get addicted to those games much but after trying a few of them, I started winning! Once you start winning a few rounds, then you know you have a chance to win the big money. I didn’t win that much, I think in the end I netted over $5. Ok, maybe that wasn’t a lot but it was still exciting for me! The best part was when they had to ask Phebe for ID everytime she played since they thought she was under 21.
We also visited Lake Tahoe, the second deepest lake in the US behind Oregon’s Crater Lake. I didn’t go swimming in there so I guess I have to trust that it is in fact the second deepest lake in the US, and 12th in the world.
