Can you imagine going to see The Great Wall in sub-freezing temperatures? Well we did. People have said to me that I wouldn’t be real Chinese if I didn’t see The Great Wall. Even if it meant going in the middle of winter, I just had to conquer. Derrick and I took our “Buddha Pic” but I’ve got to say that my nipples were freezing as I took my shirt of – it was that cold. Other highlights of the trip include eating Peking duck, eating fried strawberries and other roaches, and meeting this American white girl from Oregon who actually spoke better Mandarin than Derrick and I combined.
