After Antigua, I made it to a small town called Panajachel and did the boat tour around Lake Atitlan. It´s one of the famous lakes in Guatemala with all the beautiful volcanoes and small towns surrounding the lake. I got into this big, slow boat and it took us around some of the small towns nearby where we had an hour stop in each one. Every town was basically the same. Once you disembark the boat, people hound you to buy their stuff. But it doesn´t end there. You then pass a market strip where there are more people hounding you to buy their stuff. And then there´s the church or plaza that almost every town has. It was a good thing we only saw three towns or else I would´ve gone nuts!
After Panajachel, I took a bus to Quetzeltenango, also known as Xela. I wanted to hike the highest point in Central America, Volcan Tajumulco but nobody else wanted to do the tour since there was a minimum of four people. Oh well, I heard there were better volcanoes to hike in El Salvador and there´s where I´ll be heading next!

That´s me at Lake Atitlan
